Hello everyone:

If you are reading this you are probably not at Vision Quest. This post is for you. I am dedicating this post to anyone who isn't at Vision Quest with us. This is for all the people who are too young to be at VQ (David, David, Emily, Jared I know your reading, Pierce, etc) or too old to go to VQ (Cap, Joanna, Mr. Rimshaw, my dad, Suzanne, C.J. Mahaney, etc). post as many comments as you possibly can. I want to see what the limit is on number of comments. I want to be amazed on Sat when I check my blog.
Have Fun, We miss you.

  • Wow...you homeschoolers talk a lot of trash -- as in nothing. One day, you too will get to experience Vision Quest and it will knock your socks off!

And yes, the guys do rush the waves the second they get into their rooms. It begins with all the guys in one room, hearing a glorious manly speech, running down three flights of stairs while yelling at the top of their lungs, across the beach past all the sane girls who don't go swimming and into the water...that is if they don't trip on the way. It is very fun to watch...mainly because it is such a stupid tradition (it's normally freezing) but it is a tradition.

I hope you all had a great week without the VFCers around...hopefully you got testing and homework done and were also able to hang out and have some fun on the side.

  • We're back!!
It is now 2:29 and we are in K-Town. This is some intresting conversations going around. Yes the running in the ocean is a tradition (though we didn't get any kinda speech). I will post on the trip in a little while (right now I'm going to go to bed)

I am not posting about the trip to make you all jealous. I just want you all to celebrate God's amazing grace that he has enormously poured out on us this week. God is good and I would like to try to increase your joy by telling you how great our God is!
Owing it all to God's grace,
    Matthew Reynolds

  • Ahh Jill, you know your heart twinged with jealousy every time you saw the horde of guys running into the water while screaming and beating their chests.

BTW: This year was by far the warmest first night beach rush that I have ever experienced. two years ago... whew... Plop almost died it was so cold.
